The Poet 

José Rodrigues Antunes was born in 1927, in the village of Cabaços, municipality of Alvaiázere, district of Leiria, Portugal. He currently lives in Odivelas, Lisbon, and it was there that, during the first decades of this century, he wrote the Silêncios Magoados trilogy.
